About this Job
The Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System (LASERS) is seeking an experienced IT professional to serve as its IT Technical Support Supervisor within the Information Technology Division. LASERS administers retirement and related benefits for more than 150,000 members and their families, guided by a mission to provide a sound retirement plan through prudent management and exceptional service. The systems this position protects and maintains are central to delivering on that promise.
Reporting within IT management, the IT Technical Support Supervisor oversees the network, server, and telephony infrastructure that keep LASERS running. The role blends hands-on systems administration with people leadership: the supervisor manages and develops a small technical team. Success in this role calls for deep technical expertise across enterprise networks, servers, and security tools; sound judgment in vendor selection and disaster-recovery planning; and the leadership to coach a team, set clear goals, and hold work to a high standard. It is an opportunity to take ownership of mission-critical systems and do work that has a direct and lasting impact on the retirement security of Louisiana's public servants.
