--- Project Description ---
Department of Labor's (DOL's) zOS Mainframe System
NYS DOL support in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol complex network/systems
environments. Primary point of contact for zOS Operating Systems
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. •Perform problem determination and resolution
2. •Participate in Disaster Recovery tests
3. •Participate in On-call rotation
4. •Perform Security Healthchecking
5. •Participate in Audits.
6. •Participate and as required manage activities related to the installation,
customization and management of the zOS operating system.
7. •Coordinate activities with support staff to ensure appropriate support is provided.
8. •Proactively monitor networks working with the Enterprise Network teams and
developers to identify, manage and correct issues.
9. •Work independently to diagnose and correct problems as they arise within the
system.
10. •Mentor state staff.
11. •Monitor CICS regions.
--- Required Qualifications ---
• 84 Months experience maintaining and administering a multi-region CICS
plex.
• 84 Months Experience performing problem diagnostics and resolution in a
z/OS environment
• 84 Months Experience fine tuning z/OS performance parameters
• 84 Months experience analyzing z/OS abend dumps
• 12 months experience with RACF security administration
• 72 Months experience omegamon use
• 24 Months Experience maintaining and operating MQ subsystems
