General Information

Work Location: Administration Building, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, 7th Floor, Bradenton, Florida 34205

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Expected Starting Salary Range: $58,141.44 - $75,583.87

Professional and tactical information technology work that requires an incumbent to produce intermediate analytical and technical work products. The incumbent identifies and resolves minor work problems and projects of a nature that lower-level employees are unable to solve or overcome, including analysis, design, development, configuration, testing, training, documentation, and production support. Work requires creative and original thinking, and is performed under direct supervision of senior professionals with considerable latitude for individual and team initiative, judgment, and discretion. The incumbent works with customers to determine hardware, software, and system functional requirements through business analysis, and facilitates strategic planning initiatives to achieve business value through partnership. The incumbent reports to a senior manager, or designee.

Working Conditions:

The work environment may include exposure to high noise levels while performing certain essential job functions. The position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation. The role involves sitting for extended periods while working on a computer. Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods such as callouts, maintenance windows, special assignments, emergencies, and disaster situations.

IT Specialist - Client Services

Position Summary

The IT Client Services position provides hands-on technical support to end users and is responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and user accounts. This role serves as a primary point of contact for day-to-day technology issues and works closely with the broader IT team to maintain a reliable, secure, and productive computing environment.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically capable, and comfortable working with both hardware and software. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with users of varying technical experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Hardware Deployment & Imaging

  • Image and configure desktop and laptop computers using standardized operating system and software images.
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy computers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, docking stations, and other IT peripherals.
  • Install and configure operating systems, device drivers, firmware, and required business applications.
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and equipment replacement.
  • Assist with equipment refreshes, technology deployments, and workstation relocations.

Active Directory & User Administration

  • Reset passwords and assist users with account and authentication issues.
  • Assist with workstation domain joins, organizational unit placement, and computer account management.
  • Assist with user onboarding, transfers, and offboarding activities.

Desktop Application Support

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop applications.
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and related services.
  • Troubleshoot application errors, performance issues, installation problems, and user configuration issues.
  • Assist with application updates, patches, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Document application issues and resolutions to improve future support efforts.

End-User Support

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support through phone, email, ticketing systems, remote support tools, and in-person assistance.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printing, connectivity, and access issues.
  • Prioritize and manage service requests and incidents based on business impact and established service-level expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the IT service management/ticketing system.
  • Provide guidance and basic training to users on supported technology and applications.
  • Experience supporting users in a multi-site or enterprise environment.

Manages customer expectations through Business Relationship Management.

Stays on the cutting-edge of relevant technology by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Takes ownership for troubleshooting minor technical problems and projects and provides corrective actions with a sense of urgency.

Occasionally prepares and delivers verbal and written presentations at the section-level to peers and customers at various levels of the organization.

Supports and participates in self-developmental planning.

Trains and mentors colleagues and lower-level employees.

Performs other related duties as assigned, including participation in emergency or disaster response activities, as required and consistent with the employee's qualifications, essential job functions, and appliable federal and Florida law.

Minimum Qualifications

Subject matter experience must be current with particular emphasis on leadership, innovation, and customer service accomplishments.

High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of (5) five years of relevant information technology experience; or (3) three years of relevant information technology experience and an associate degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field; or (1) one year of relevant information technology experience and a bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications for this position.

Valid drivers license required with valid Florida driver license required within 30 days of hire.
