IT Sourcing Specialist
Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid). Fully onsite for the first 30 days, then 3 days onsite per week
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
About the Role
Our client, a Fortune 500 organization, is adding an IT Sourcing Specialist to its IT Sourcing team. This team handles every IT purchase and renewal across the enterprise. You’ll take requests from intake all the way to the purchase order: SOWs, software purchases and renewals, IT hardware, RFPs, contract extensions, and more. Along the way, you’ll make sure governance, compliance, and accounting are right before anything gets bought.
This isn’t a box-checking role. Each request has a dozen or more steps, so we’re looking for someone who’s organized and curious, who asks good questions, and who works out what needs to happen to get a buy across the finish line.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage your own queue of sourcing requests. Some are urgent and due in a couple of weeks, others are longer-term buys, and you’ll reprioritize as things shift
- Lead meetings that keep IT stakeholders and contracting partners (legal, contracting, insurance) aligned and moving
- Gather requirements, build budgets, and negotiate pricing and contract duration
- Plan backward from deadlines, mapping out dependencies so nothing stalls
- Keep business partners updated on where their requests stand
- Track your work across multiple SharePoint lists and renewal trackers
- Support competitive bids, RFPs, proof-of-concept scoping, work orders, and order forms
- Help spot process improvements and bring them to the team
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates finishing their degree by May 2027 will be considered
- 5+ years of directly relevant experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree
- IT background required. IT procurement experience is ideal, and IT delivery or project management experience is a strong plus
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Confident managing stakeholders: you know when to push back and when to partner
- Able to read and understand statements of work
- Comfortable working with and filtering data in Excel and SharePoint lists
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and follow-through

- Experience building schedules and managing dependencies
- Oracle / Oracle Cloud
- ServiceNow
- CPSM certification
- MBA or related graduate degree
