Newport News VA*

Contract - 1st Shift

Pay Range: $42.00 - $52.00/Hr.

• hybrid role.

Basic Qualifications: IT SOFTWARE ENGINEER 2

• Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience. Masters Degree and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelors degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelors degree. A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
• Required to know Software Life Cycle Development.
• Ability to test and peer review code.
• Knowledge of several programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, .Net.

Job Description: IT SOFTWARE ENGINEER 2

• Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
• Set operational specifications, and formulate and analyze software requirements.
• May design embedded systems software.

Job Expectations: IT SOFTWARE ENGINEER 2

The position will be working on NNS Access Team using Java, JavaScript, Web Development and HTML. Additional coding languages is desired, but not required.
