IT Site Ops Senior Technician

Location: Santa Clara, CA 100% Onsite
Duration: Contract

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8x5, with on-call rotation

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Site Ops Senior Technician to manage and maintain office, lab, and network-room infrastructure, including IDF/MDF/NER environments. This is a hands-on infrastructure operations role, not a desktop support position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Layer 1 troubleshooting, incident response, and infrastructure repairs.
• Handle structured cabling, moves, adds, and changes (MACs).
• Install and maintain network and infrastructure hardware.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain accurate asset inventory.
• Support office, lab, and network-room infrastructure.
• Provide on-call support and assist with planned power shutdown events.

Required Skills:

• 4 7 years of IT infrastructure, structured cabling, or data-center/network-room operations experience.
• Strong experience with physical network infrastructure and Layer 1 troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in IDF/MDF/NER environments.
• Data Center (DC) experience is mandatory.
• BICSI Technician or Installer 2 certification preferred; RCDD not required.
• Must be available to work onsite daily in Santa Clara, CA.
