Constellation Search Group is looking for a Sr IT Services Engineer for a full-time direct hire position. The Sr IT Services Engineer will exhibit exceptional troubleshooting capabilities and a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring results are delivered efficiently using best practices and sound judgment. This role involves designing, installing, and supporting server, storage, and networking systems while providing comprehensive IT support to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement advanced IT solutions for various projects.
- Design, install, and maintain server, storage, and networking systems for customers.
- Provide general IT support to customers, enhancing technical understanding.
- Document and resolve service requests and alerts, including escalations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver superior customer service.
- Create and share documentation in the knowledge base.
- Maintain system, installation, and configuration standards and procedures.
- Share new information with peers to improve team capabilities.
- Comply with internal and customer security controls and procedures.
- Mentor and train fellow engineers.
- Address technical issues with a focus on root cause resolution.
- Specialize in an IT area to become a go-to resource for teammates.
- Lead projects from a technical perspective.
- Assist in the development of company product stack.
- Stay updated on and comply with the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least three days in office required.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
- Excellent skills in customer service, communication, and troubleshooting.
- Proven time management and organizational abilities.
- Aptitude for creative and alternative solutions.
- Demonstrates independent initiative in learning and growth.
- Strong team player with good judgment and technical sense.
- Proficient with server/workstation hardware, operating systems, and software.
- In-depth understanding of networking, cabling, and termination.
- Advanced technical skills across various products.
- Expertise in setting up new servers and Windows domain migrations.
- Competent in Exchange administration and O365 migration.
- Experience in configuring Wi-Fi solutions.
- Advanced system and server administration skills.
- Proficiency in VMWare, routing, switching, and fault tolerance solutions.
- Experience in deploying ISCSI and Fiber Channel SANs.
- Knowledge in virtualization stacks and network security.
- Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and insurance as per state law.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or related field, or 5-10 years of IT support experience.
- Intermediate or advanced technical certification(s).
