IT Security Operations Mgr

Responsibilities: The IT Security Operations Manager will oversee daily security operations, lead a team of security professionals, and help maintain a strong enterprise security posture. This role will manage security monitoring and incident response, vulnerability management, threat hunting, security reporting, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Security Operations Manager in Glens Falls, NY. This is a direct-hire, 100% onsite position offering $90K–$100K + potential bonus, with excellent benefits including a pension, 401(k), employee stock ownership, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

The IT Security Operations Manager will oversee daily security operations, lead a team of security professionals, and help maintain a strong enterprise security posture. This role will manage security monitoring and incident response, vulnerability management, threat hunting, security reporting, and cybersecurity initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Leading and developing a Security Operations team
• Managing enterprise security tools including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and DLP
• Incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring
• Cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance, including NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOX
• Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 security
• Working across infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and leadership skills
• Experience managing enterprise security technologies and security operations programs
