    The State of South Carolina is looking for a Systems Software Programmer - Project Lead

    Software developer for custom software development using .NET, C#, XML, JSON

    Prior to an offer of employment by the Department, applicants will undergo a criminal records check, Driver's License check, a screening for illicit drugs and a verification of past employment history.
    Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

    " With limited supervision builds, designs, and implements custom web applications and API's. Troubleshoots and debugs software code. Works on application development team to develop or modify existing or new systems using knowledge of .NET, SQL, and/or similar web technology and to develop data transport methods using XML or JSON.
    " Develops reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PowerBI, or similar reporting technology.
    " Works together with the Application Development team to perform analysis, design, implementation and modification of computer systems.
    " Provides application support of custom business applications, documenting issues and resolutions
    " Collaborates with subject experts to identify potential system defects or enhancements. Evaluates the impact of these changes, including the implementation or revision of business processes, systems and technology. Assesses existing applications and keeps abreast of business needs and best practices.
    " Writes and establishes technical specifications, modifies existing technical documentation, and coordinates the updating of this documentation by other staff especially as it relates to test cases or technical requirements.

    Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):
    " 5+ Years of Experience with Developing Web Applications using .NET technologies and/or similar Web Technology (ASP.NET, .NET Core, Blazer, Razer, Python)
    " 3+ Years of Experience with developing data transport methods using XML or JSON
    " 5+ Years of Experience with UNIT Testing and Integration Testing
    " 5+ Years of Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI
    " 5+ Years of Experience with COTS and MOTS applications
    " 5+ Years of Law Enforcement IT Experience
    " 5+ Years of Experience with SQL Database programming and architecture. Develop and optimize SQL databases, queries, and data solutions to support application functionality and performance.
