    DPP is seeking an IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in Winston Salem, NC.
     
    Work location: Onsite in downtown Winston Salem, NC
     
    Position Summary:
    • The IT Project Manager will join the Technology organization.
    • This role owns the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that span technology, operations, and business initiatives across 50+ franchise dealership locations, ranging from large-scale technology implementations down to small, fast-turn DevOps break/fix efforts, and serves as the PMO's DevOps project lead within Jira and Confluence.
    • The Project Manager partners with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from dealership General Managers to corporate department heads, to keep projects on scope, on schedule, and on budget, and is given significant autonomy to help shape and mature the overall PMO function.
    • Must be comfortable moving between technical, operational, and business-process initiatives.
    Responsibilities:
    • Lead full project lifecycles, initiation through closeout, for cross-functional initiatives spanning technology, operations, facilities, and dealership process improvement.
    • Manage a varied project portfolio spanning large- and small-scale efforts, including DevOps break/fix, data feed integrations, cloud migrations, security projects, and implementation technology.
    • Develop and maintain project charters, scope documents, timelines, budgets, RAID logs, and status reporting for each assigned project.
    • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including IT, HR, finance, marketing, and dealership operations personnel, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
    • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder check-ins; document decisions and follow through on action items.
    • Identify, track, and escalate project risks and issues, proposing mitigation plans before they affect delivery.
    • Manage project budgets and vendor deliverables in partnership with procurement and finance, tracking spending against approved budget.
    • Maintain and continuously improve PMO standards, templates, and governance processes across the project portfolio.
    • Operate with significant autonomy in shaping the overall maturity of the PMO, recommending and implementing improvements to methodology, tooling, and governance rather than simply executing an established playbook.
    • Support portfolio-level reporting, providing visibility into project health, dependencies, and resource constraints to leadership.
    • Establish and maintain effective communication and status reporting channels to the VP of Technology & Engineering and other leadership across the organization, ensuring timely visibility into project progress, risks, and decisions needed.
    • Own DevOps project management within Jira and Confluence, including workflow configuration, board setup, backlog grooming support, sprint or release tracking, and documentation structure.
    • Administer and maintain Jira projects and Confluence spaces as the PMO's system of record, ensuring consistent use of statuses, issue types, labels, and reporting dashboards across teams.
    • Facilitate daily scrum/stand-up meetings and lead sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective ceremonies for assigned project teams.
    • Own resource management across the project portfolio, including capacity planning, task assignment, and balancing workload across team members and concurrent initiatives.
    Required Qualifications:
    • 8-10+ years of project management experience, with a track record of delivering cross-functional projects on time and on budget.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different business functions.
    • Strong facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both frontline dealership staff and senior leadership.
    • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches) and standard PM tooling (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar).
    • Proficiency with Azure, Google Suite and Microsoft 365 productivity suites.
    • Hands-on experience administering and working within Jira and Confluence for project and DevOps workflow management, including boards, workflows, and reporting.
    • Experience running Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) lead facilitators.
    • Demonstrated experience with resource and capacity management across multiple concurrent projects or teams.
    • Experience managing a mix of project types and sizes, such as break/fix initiatives, data feed or integration projects, cloud migrations, security projects, or enterprise technology implementations.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to dealership locations across North Carolina and Virginia if needed. Some projects may require on-site presence during evenings or weekends to align with dealership operating hours.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • PMP, CAPM, CSM or equivalent project management certification.
    • Prior experience in automotive retail, multi-site retail, or another multi-location business environment.
    • Jira or Atlassian administration certification, or demonstrated experience configuring Jira automation, permission schemes, or Confluence space governance.
