IT Project Manager & Learning Strategy Lead (PMP)
Enterprise Systems – D365 & Integrated Platforms**

Role Purpose
This hybrid role combines enterprise IT project management with global learning content strategy and instructional design leadership for Dynamics 365 and related enterprise systems. The position ensures that multi phased technology projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while also driving accurate, role based, scalable learning that accelerates adoption, readiness, and business performance.

The role owns the end to end lifecycle of both project execution and technology enablement, ensuring that learning, change, and system deployment move in lockstep across global transformation initiatives.

What This Role Owns
 

  • Full project lifecycle ownership (initiate → plan → execute → control → close) across multi sized IT projects.
  • End to end accountability for instructional design and learning content for enterprise platforms (D365 and integrated systems).
  • A global framework for how technology learning is created, governed, and scaled.
  • Content quality, accuracy, and alignment to approved solution designs and business processes.
  • Innovation in learning through AI assisted content creation, adaptive learning, and modern adult learning principles.
  • Coordination of internal teams, business units, vendors, and external partners for both project delivery and learning execution.
  • Management of part time/contract content developers to support scalable learning delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
IT Project Management
  • Establish project use cases, charters, strategic objectives, and methodology recommendations.
  • Create and manage work breakdown structures, project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, stakeholder meetings, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Document and manage requirements, risks, issues, assumptions, and change orders.
  • Oversee project expenditures, identify problem areas, and drive resolution.
  • Ensure quality assurance, unit testing, UAT, and deployment readiness.
  • Maintain project documentation, progress reports, closure materials, and lessons learned.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external project communication.
  • Drive project outcomes that meet end user requirements and business objectives.
 
Global Instructional Design & Content Strategy
  • Define a scalable, repeatable approach for creating technology learning across global D365 implementations.
  • Establish standards grounded in modern adult learning principles (role relevance, experiential learning, applied context).
  • Design role based learning paths aligned to D365 security roles and end to end business processes.
  • Translate solution designs and releases into clear learning outcomes and structured curricula.
Content Development & QA
  • Oversee creation of eLearning, videos, simulations, job aids, instructor led training, and release based learning.
  • Enforce formal QA processes validating accuracy, usability, accessibility, and deployment readiness.
  • Ensure learning aligns to deployment waves, releases, and ongoing system evolution.
Innovation Through AI & Modern Practices
  • Leverage AI to accelerate content development, improve consistency, and reduce rework.
  • Explore adaptive learning, personalization, in platform enablement, and smarter content maintenance.
  • Continuously evolve learning formats based on learner behavior, system usage, and business outcomes.
 
Governance & Cross Functional Alignment
  • Serve as single point of accountability for learning content quality and standards.
  • Partner with Change Management, Solution Architects, Product Owners, SMEs, HR, and Continuous Delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors, service partners, and advisory partners.
  • Balance global consistency with flexibility needed for business execution.
People Leadership
  • Hire, onboard, and manage part time/contract content developers.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and quality feedback aligned to standards.
  • Manage capacity and sequencing to support multi year global rollouts.

Required Background & Must Haves
  • PMP certification.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience delivering multi phased technology projects.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations (ERP/CRM preferred; D365 strongly desirable).
  • Demonstrated ownership of learning content strategy, standards, and quality.
  • Hands on experience applying modern adult learning practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management artifacts (scope statements, stakeholder registers, risk logs, QA processes).
  • Exceptional communication, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, multiple concurrent projects, and large scale/high dollar initiatives.
  • Approachable, collaborative disposition with a continuous improvement mindset.
Helpful to Have
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Experience with project portfolio management tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft collaboration tools.
  • Exposure to AI enabled learning technologies and content development tools.
  • Experience managing contract or part time content creators.
