Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and support HR systems (HCM) initiatives within a fast-paced, enterprise environment. This role will drive planning and execution of medium to large-scale projects across HR technology platforms and work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record of managing complex IT projects, operating within structured governance frameworks, and delivering results in cross-functional environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead project oversight, execution, and control across multiple initiatives
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Drive project initiation, scope definition, and scope control
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and aligned to project milestones
- Track progress against scope, budget, and schedule
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders
- Communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure alignment and delivery consistency
Project Planning & Strategy
- Lead discovery phases to gather requirements and define business goals
- Support development of business cases and cost estimates
- Ensure delivery aligns with defined objectives and value propositions
Governance & Risk Management
- Maintain adherence to project management standards and methodologies
- Monitor risks, issues, and change controls
- Support financial tracking and alignment between forecasts and actuals
- Provide regular reporting to support data quality and transparency
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Guide and support project teams through successful delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional resources, including third-party vendors
- Provide oversight to ensure quality and consistency across deliverables
Continuous Improvement
- Conduct lessons learned sessions post-delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and delivery effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience managing IT projects in enterprise environments
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and external resources
- Experience with full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and project management best practices
Technical & Tool Experience
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday or similar HCM platforms) preferred
