We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation across multiple healthcare facilities and clinical programs.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in EHR/EMR implementations, health informatics, health IT, project management, and organizational change management. This individual will be responsible for managing the project lifecycle from planning through implementation while ensuring that project objectives, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with a minimum of 5 years of certification experience.
A valid copy of the active PMP certification must be submitted with the candidate's resume.
Must currently reside in Pennsylvania.
Ability to work from the Harrisburg office approximately 2 days per week, as requested.
7 9 years of relevant project management experience.
Demonstrated experience implementing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in an environment transitioning from paper-based clinical documentation.
Experience with EHR/EMR systems, health informatics, and health IT.
Experience leading large-scale technology projects through successful implementation.
Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, monitoring, and implementation methodologies.
Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM).
Experience working with healthcare organizations and clinical stakeholders.
Experience managing enterprise-wide or high-profile technology implementations.
Experience coordinating multiple technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Lead the project from initiation through successful implementation and project closure.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Establish project priorities based on scope, resources, budget, and organizational objectives.
Manage project activities across planning, design, development, testing, training, and implementation.
Track project progress against approved schedules and take corrective action when necessary.
Ensure project deliverables meet defined business, technical, quality, and service requirements.
Manage projects with extended delivery timelines and multiple implementation phases.
Develop project estimates covering planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation activities.
Review and revise estimates with project team leads as needed.
Obtain appropriate stakeholder approval for project estimates and plans.
Monitor project budgets and communicate financial impacts to relevant stakeholders.
Plan and balance workloads based on project team capacity and resource availability.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related issues and escalations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, vendors, and technical teams.
Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
Communicate project objectives, timelines, milestones, assignments, and expectations to team members.
Facilitate discussions to identify solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Present project updates, proposals, recommendations, and other information to leadership and stakeholders.
Identify, document, track, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and track them through resolution.
Proactively identify potential project issues and develop corrective actions.
Ensure project scope changes follow established change-management processes.
Maintain appropriate documentation for approved changes and project decisions.
Support organizational change management activities associated with the EHR implementation.
Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan.
Establish project communication plans and deliverable matrices.
Prepare periodic project status reports for project teams, leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders.
Track and report project metrics and performance indicators.
Maintain project documentation and ensure information is accessible to appropriate stakeholders.
Conduct regular status reviews and project health assessments.
Provide recommendations and escalation reports to senior leadership when required.
Coordinate system testing with appropriate business and technical resources.
Support end-to-end implementation activities and readiness assessments.
Plan and coordinate project-specific training and orientation sessions.
Facilitate training and knowledge-transfer activities for project stakeholders.
Coordinate peer reviews and quality assurance activities.
Ensure implementation activities remain aligned with approved project objectives and requirements.
