IT Project Manager

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job-related work experience; OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major. Working with customers, project teams, vendors and management to plan, schedule and implement solutions to meet our customers’ requirements.

DPP is seeking an IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC; onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a low-level (Public Trust) clearance
 
About the Team:

• The team is comprised of 6 project managers (4 FTEs, 2 Contractors.) All have been with the company for more than 10 years.
• The overall team are a bunch of self-starters and work independently of each, but they all have a good collaborative working relationship.

Responsibilities:

• Leading multiple IT related efforts.
• Working with customers, project teams, vendors and management to plan, schedule and implement solutions to meet our customers’ requirements.
• Responsible for all phases of the project life cycle.
• Daily tasks include scheduling and leading meetings, reporting status of efforts to all levels of stakeholders.
• Creation or updating of appropriate documentation and most importantly problem solving.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job-related work experience;
• OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major.

Required Work Experience:

• 3 years IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams.
• Completion of the Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification is a plus but not required.
