    The Project Management Office partners with business leaders, application teams, cybersecurity professionals, technology specialists, and external software vendors to deliver complex initiatives across the organization. This opportunity is best suited for a versatile IT Project Manager who can quickly understand different technology environments, establish structure, and lead teams without needing to be the deepest technical expert in the room.

    • W2 contract engagement.
    • Ownership of a large, highly visible third-party software integration project.
    • Responsibility for two to three additional technology initiatives.
    • Exposure to cybersecurity, enterprise applications, software vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams.
    • Direct interaction with business leaders and technology stakeholders.
    • Hybrid schedule requiring four days per week onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina.
    • Opportunity to make an immediate impact within an established enterprise PMO.

    How You Will Make An Impact

    • Lead Phase 2 of an enterprise variable compensation software implementation involving Human Resources, Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, and Technology.
    • Assume primary Technology-side ownership of the relationship with the third-party software vendor.
    • Coordinate internal integrations between the external platform and enterprise systems.
    • Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to align delivery commitments across multiple Agile teams.
    • Hold delivery teams accountable for sprint commitments, milestones, testing readiness, and project dependencies.
    • Coordinate QA activities with technology teams and user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
    • Establish stronger governance and delivery controls based on lessons learned during Phase 1.
    • Manage cross-functional dependencies involving HR Compensation, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Product Supply, and other technology teams.
    • Maintain project schedules, milestones, RAID logs, decisions, action items, dependencies, and executive status reporting.
    • Facilitate vendor discussions, governance meetings, testing reviews, risk discussions, and escalation conversations.
    • Use Smartsheet and other enterprise collaboration tools to improve project visibility and cross-team coordination.
    • Navigate organizational politics while remaining firm, diplomatic, objective, and focused on agreed project outcomes.
    • Manage an additional portfolio of two to three smaller technology initiatives as assigned.

    Do You Bring Proven Success in Agile Enterprise Technology Delivery?

    • Four to six years of hands-on enterprise IT project-management experience is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success leading third-party software implementations or enterprise systems-integration projects.
    • Experience assuming ownership of an established project, correcting delivery gaps, and improving project governance.
    • Strong vendor-management experience, including deliverables, timelines, performance, risks, escalations, and recovery planning.
    • Experience coordinating application integrations, QA testing, UAT, release readiness, and cross-team dependencies.
    • Working knowledge of Agile delivery, sprint planning, Product Owner responsibilities, Scrum Master partnerships, and iterative release management.
    • Ability to manage several Agile delivery teams without direct authority over team members.
    • Strong executive, business-partner, technical-team, and vendor communication skills.
    • Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining constructive relationships.
    • Experience managing project schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and change.
    • Financial-management experience involving forecasts, actuals, vendor spend, resource plans, and project controls.
    • Experience supporting HR, compensation, manufacturing, warehouse, supply chain, or operational technology initiatives is preferred.
    • Smartsheet experience is helpful but not required.
    • PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to work onsite in Charlotte four days per week.
