    Summary

    The Project Coordinator position will provide general technical and business process solutions to BGSU departments and colleges across campus. To accomplish this is, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the project life cycle and outcomes for small to medium sized IT projects; performing systems analysis and requirements gathering; developing functional specifications to provide guidance to development resources; participating in business process reviews and Kaizen events under the direction of the Supervisor or a Project Manager; act as testing lead for large/multi-departmental projects; and assist in documenting ITS processes, procedures, and templates.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage projects throughout the project life cycle using standard project management practices, templates, and methodologies.
    • Analyze and convert detailed business processes into system requirements.
    • Serve as testing lead for large or complex projects.
    • Communicate (e-mail, meetings, documents, etc) project status to project stakeholders and sponsors.
    • Manage and update project documentation, including, but not limited to governance documentation, project charter, functional specification, project plan, and project closure.
    • Remains up-to-date on project management best practices and industry trends; especially related to Information Systems and Higher Education.

    Minimum Qualifications

    The following Degree is required:

    • Bachelors Degree required.

    The following Experience is required:

    • 6 months Information Systems or Project Management required.
    • One-year Internship experience preferred in Information Systems or Business.

    Additional Information

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Knowledge of Information Systems concepts and methodologies

    • Knowledge of Project Management practices and methodologies

    • Knowledge of process mapping and Lean Six Sigma methodologies

    • Knowledge associated with the current technologies being leveraged by ERP and 3rd party applications implemented at BGSU

    • Basic knowledge of current hardware, networking, and security practices

    • Great communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

    This is a full-time position located in Bowling Green, Ohio, which offers the option for a flexible/hybrid work schedule (remote/on-campus).
