IT Program Manager

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a IT Program Manager for a hybridopportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC.Candidate will lead and coordinate complex IT audit, compliance, and remediation initiatives, serving as the key liaison between auditors, technology teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. The role requires strong program management, communication, and relationship-building skills to keep multiple concurrent initiatives on track while supporting compliance objectives.

Required Qualifications of the IT Program Manager:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• 7+ years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, including at least 4 years leading multiple concurrent project teams.
• Experience leading or coordinating internal or external IT audits, either as the audit facilitator or as the organization responding to an audit.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent audits, projects, or complex work efforts.
• Working knowledge of IT controls, audit processes, regulatory compliance, and technology governance.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, and IT operational controls.
• Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, including planning, risk management, resource management, and issue resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with technical teams, business stakeholders, management, and executive leadership.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the IT Program Manager:

• Insurance industry experience.
• Experience managing IT audit remediation programs and corrective actions.
• Experience working directly with executive leadership and auditors.
• PMP certification.
• Familiarity with NIST, COBIT, ITIL, information security controls, or other GRC frameworks.

Responsibilities of the IT Program Manager:

• Coordinate multiple IT audit and compliance initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between auditors and cross-functional technology and business teams.
• Manage audit evidence requests, deliverables, schedules, action plans, project documentation, and status reporting to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, resolve conflicts and issues, monitor risks and dependencies, and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Lead remediation efforts by tracking findings, corrective actions, milestones, and commitments through successful resolution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, risk management plans, communications, and related documentation from initiation through implementation and final acceptance.
• Provide clear progress updates to leadership while ensuring projects and audit activities meet established quality, scope, timeline, and governance expectations.

Work Location: Hybrid – onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with additional onsite presence as needed. Typical hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility around core working hours. Columbia, SC.
