Job Title: IT Production Support Assistant 897
Location: Downey, CA 90242
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months
w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $20-$25hour
Description:- Support production applications in mainframe and midrange environments.
- Create, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot production jobs.
- Promote COBOL program packages using Endevor.
- Manage incident tickets and document resolutions.
- Operate mainframe consoles and execute scheduled jobs.
- Follow production standards in a 24/7 operations environment.
- Participate in team documentation, training, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- 2+ years of IBM mainframe production control experience with Control-M.
- 2+ years of data center experience using incident tracking tools (e.g., Cherwell).
- 2+ years of Endevor experience managing JCL, PROCS, and source code.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:- 1+ year operating high-speed commercial printers (e.g., Canon varioPRINT 6220 TITAN MICR).
- Must be available for rotating day, swing, or overnight shifts, including weekends.
