Position Summary
The IT Application Product Owner, Pricing Technologies is responsible for defining, managing, and executing the strategic roadmap for Corning's pricing technology ecosystem, with primary ownership of the Vendavo platform suite, including Deal Manager, Price Manager, and associated integrations. This role serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure pricing, quoting, approval workflow, and governance capabilities effectively support commercial objectives while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
The Product Owner will partner closely with Product Pricing, Deal Desk, Pricing Strategy, Salesforce, SAP, Commercial Operations, and IT teams to prioritize enhancements, manage vendor relationships, drive platform adoption, and ensure scalable, compliant solutions that improve pricing effectiveness and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Roadmap Management
Own and manage the strategic roadmap for the Vendavo platform, including:
Vendavo Deal Manager
Vendavo Price Manager

Pricing approval workflows
System integrations with Salesforce, SAP, and related applications
Establish and maintain a prioritized backlog of enhancements, technical improvements, and business capabilities.
Lead demand intake, requirements gathering, solution evaluation, and prioritization activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on pricing optimization, sales efficiency, governance, and process simplification.
Define product vision, success metrics, roadmap priorities, and release plans aligned to business objectives.

Pricing & Commercial Process Enablement
Partner with Product Pricing, Deal Desk, Pricing Strategy, and Commercial leadership to improve:
Price management processes
Deal review and approval workflows
Discount governance
Quoting efficiency

Pricing analytics and decision support
Identify opportunities to streamline pricing-related business processes through automation and workflow enhancements.
Support initiatives that improve pricing consistency, margin performance, and policy compliance.

Vendor & Platform Management
Serve as the primary IT relationship manager for Vendavo and related pricing technology partners.
Evaluate vendor capabilities, product releases, and emerging functionality to maximize platform value.
Coordinate platform upgrades, testing, release management, and production deployment activities.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure service commitments are achieved.
Governance, Compliance & Controls
Ensure pricing systems comply with corporate governance requirements and internal controls.
Maintain and continuously improve:
SOX controls
Approval workflows
Segregation of duties requirements
Role-based access controls
Audit readiness processes
Partner with Audit, Security, Compliance, and business stakeholders to address control requirements and remediation activities.
Establish governance processes for system changes, configuration management, and production releases.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build strong partnerships across Product Pricing, Salesforce, SAP, Commercial Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, and IT organizations.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for executive and business audiences.
Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities.
Lead workshops, requirements sessions, and roadmap reviews.
Communicate product strategy, enhancement plans, risks, and delivery status to leadership and business partners.

Technology & Delivery Leadership
Work closely with development teams, architects, integration specialists, and business analysts to deliver solutions.
Support application development lifecycle activities including:
Requirements definition
Solution design
Testing
Deployment
Release management
Production support
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Provide guidance on system capabilities, limitations, and future-state opportunities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Application Management, Business Systems Analysis, or related IT leadership roles.
Experience supporting pricing, quoting, sales operations, commercial systems, or revenue management platforms.
Strong understanding of business process design, workflow automation, and application governance.
Experience managing software vendors and third-party technology partners.
Knowledge of enterprise application development and deployment methodologies.
Demonstrated success partnering with business leaders to deliver technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Vendavo Deal Manager, Price Manager, or other pricing optimization platforms.
Experience with Salesforce, SAP, CPQ, pricing strategy, or commercial operations functions.
Knowledge of enterprise integrations, APIs, and data management concepts.
Experience supporting SOX-controlled environments and audit requirements.
Agile Product Owner or equivalent product management experience.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across business and IT organizations.
