Position OverviewThe State of Arizona is seeking an
IT Software Procurement Analyst 2 specializing in
Software & SaaS Procurement. The position will oversee software acquisitions, contract renewals, license optimization, vendor evaluation, and negotiations while collaborating with
IT, Legal, Finance, and Information Security teams.
The Procurement Analyst will evaluate IT products and services, support
RFQ/RFP/RFI activities, conduct research and analysis, negotiate with suppliers, and provide recommendations for supplier selection. The role also supports agency-wide procurement of software, SaaS, hardware, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, IT implementation, advisory services, managed services, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end IT software procurement and SaaS acquisitions.
- Handle contract renewals, licensing, license optimization, and vendor management.
- Evaluate IT vendors, products, and services and provide supplier recommendations.
- Support and develop RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
- Conduct research, financial analysis, and service evaluations.
- Support vendor negotiations and contract terms.
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and InfoSec stakeholders.
- Manage procurement projects, milestones, stakeholders, and timelines.
- Ensure procurement activities align with state rules, regulations, financial principles, and business requirements.
- Evaluate software and IT services based on cost-efficiency, compliance, and operational requirements.
