IT Portfolio Manager

IT Portfolio Manager needs 10+ years of IT experience with a minimum of five years in a Portfolio/Program management position.

IT Portfolio Manager requires:

• Location Charlotte, NC, Iselin, NJ and Dallas, TX
• Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or related field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 10+ years of IT experience with a minimum of five years in a Portfolio/Program management position.
• SAFe Certified preferred
• Good working knowledge of both Agile methodologies.
• Experienced in managing a large portfolio of interdependent IT projects.
• Program, project, and change management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of business organization and management.
• Knowledge of the organization and functions of an information technology business operation

IT Portfolio Manager duties:

• Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Trains using various tools, such as the Solution Kanbans.
• Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Solution Backlogs, Solution Kanbans, Solution Trains, Solution Demos, and Program Increments (PIs).
• Facilitate Solution Planning and PI Planning readiness via fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and via Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.
• Facilitate the Solution Planning and PI Planning event.
• Aggregate into Solution PI Objectives, Program PI Objectives, and Team PI Objectives (and publish them for visibility and transparency).
• Aggregate program PI objectives into Solution PI Objectives (the STE) and publish them for visibility and transparency.
• Assist with execution and Capability and Capability-Enablers completion tracking.
