Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organization seeking an entry-level IT Operations Specialist to join their remote technology team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to gain hands-on experience supporting critical systems, resolving technical issues, and helping keep the business running smoothly day to day.
In this role you will spend your days monitoring systems, triaging support tickets, and working closely with more senior IT staff to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts in a timely manner
- Provide first and second level technical support to internal end users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues remotely
- Assist with user account provisioning and access management
- Document incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures
- Support routine system maintenance, patching, and backups
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or engineering teams
- Help maintain IT asset inventory and equipment tracking
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employee IT equipment
Requirements
- Associate degree or coursework in IT, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests at once
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment
- A plus if you hold or are working toward a CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly
