Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking an experienced
MEDITECH Expanse Applications Specialist for a permanent opportunity with a healthcare organization in Colorado.
This position is ideal for a healthcare IT professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with clinical operations, system optimization, and end-user support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing electronic health record (EHR) applications, improving clinical workflows, and ensuring technology solutions effectively support healthcare providers and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert for MEDITECH Expanse, supporting clinical and administrative applications.
Provide technical and functional support for EHR systems, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
Coordinate application updates, upgrades, testing, and implementation activities.
Partner with physicians, clinical teams, and operational leadership to identify opportunities for workflow improvements.
Deliver training and ongoing support to healthcare professionals to promote effective system utilization.
Investigate application incidents, coordinate with vendors, and implement sustainable solutions.
Participate in application configuration, integration, validation, and quality assurance activities.
Support data integrity, system reliability, and compliance with healthcare technology standards.
Collaborate with IT and operational stakeholders on technology initiatives and application lifecycle planning.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system performance, and enhance the end-user experience.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience with MEDITECH Expanse EHR systems in acute care and/or ambulatory healthcare settings.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Nursing, Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and EHR application functionality.
Experience supporting physicians and other clinical users in a healthcare technology environment.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and manage competing priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for clinical and nontechnical audiences.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience supporting EHR upgrades, system implementations, or optimization projects.
Knowledge of healthcare application integrations and interoperability.
Experience with application testing, change management, and system lifecycle management.
Strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Compensation & Opportunity
Annual salary range: $100,000$125,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
