The individual in this role is responsible for administering core infrastructure technologies and related services including on-premises Infrastructure, virtualization, and enterprise storage across our global locations with a focus on our Milford and Taunton Massachusetts locations.
Responsibilities
• Ensure operational stability of technologies and services supporting the lines of business.
• Monitor the health of critical systems, identify trends, and present results to IT Management.
• Contribute to the design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of scalable Cloud infrastructure; with a focus on Quality and Security.
• Responsible for implementing best practices and governance in a cloud-based infrastructure. This will utilize experience working in virtualized environments, computer networking, internet communication standards, web services, and various operating systems
• Participate in technical integration activities in support of mergers and acquisitions.
• Perform script writing to maximize efficiency of engineering tasks, such as automated deployments of infrastructure code and infrastructure updates.
• Establish functional standards to ensure operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints are achieved.
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
• Perform activities in support of a 24x7 global support model for critical production environments and be part of the 24x7 on call rotation.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, connectivity, mapping, processes, and service records. Observe, assess and recommend process improvements for greater operational efficiencies.
• Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for key tasks.
• Maintain broad technical knowledge on current and emerging technologies relevant to the enterprise
Qualifications
• Experience managing cloud platforms, Virtualization, storage technologies and networking.
• Successful work history with cross-functional groups that align technology activities with organization’s strategic goals.
• Preferred Certifications: Azure, VMWare, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, ITIL, ITOM
• Technical Competencies: M365, Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, PowerShell, SAN/NAS, Backups/DR, Networking, PKI Infrastructure, Certificate Management, PowerApps, AI
• A four-year college degree in an applicable field and five years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
