Our Client is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Implementation Engineer with strong networking, structured cabling, Microsoft 365, and hands-on infrastructure experience to support office buildouts, network upgrades, technology deployments, and complex MSP client environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide responsive and professional remote and onsite IT support for managed services clients
Perform hands-on IT infrastructure implementations for office buildouts, relocations, expansions, renovations, and network upgrades
Prepare equipment, tools, materials, configuration information, and documentation before scheduled project work
Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and label structured network cabling and related low-voltage and AV infrastructure
Install and organize wall-mount racks, floor racks, network cabinets, patch panels, and related infrastructure
Install and configure firewalls, routers, managed switches, wireless access points, VoIP devices, and related network equipment
Configure and troubleshoot IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, NAT, switching, and end-to-end connectivity
Configure VLANs, port tagging, QoS, network segmentation, access controls, firewall policies, security services, and WAN failover
Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site VPNs, SSL VPNs, and other secure connectivity solutions
Cross-connect primary and secondary internet connections and configure WAN failover
Install and configure Wi-Fi access points and point-to-point wireless bridges
Install and connect conference-room computers, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, control devices, category-cable extenders, and IP-based AV equipment
Assist with Windows Server configuration, implementation, installation, and virtualization
Configure and deploy network-attached storage for backup repositories and other client storage requirements
Configure and test on-premises and cloud-based server backup and disaster recovery solutions
Assist with Microsoft 365 implementations, email migrations, tenant and domain changes, SharePoint deployments, and Teams Phone implementations
Install, configure, repair, replace, and troubleshoot computers, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners, peripherals, software, and related workplace technology
Support Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra, and Intune
Maintain accurate and timely project tickets, service tickets, time entries, technical notes, configuration records, status updates, and follow-up items
Communicate project status, risks, blockers, delays, next steps, and resolution details clearly with clients, vendors, project leadership, and internal teams
Recognize situations requiring client approval, senior technical review, management involvement, or escalation before making material changes
Follow established safety practices and project-site requirements when using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other installation equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience installing, replacing, repairing, and troubleshooting computers, network equipment, peripherals, and other IT infrastructure
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and SMB infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, switching, firewalls, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, VPNs, remote access, and connectivity troubleshooting
Hands-on structured network cabling experience, including installation, termination, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting
High level of proficiency with hand tools, power tools, toner/probe equipment, and other tools used in IT infrastructure projects
Experience working on active project sites
Working knowledge of VoIP phone systems, phone provisioning, system buildouts, call-flow routing, and phone-number porting
Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Domain Controllers, file servers, Remote Desktop Services, application servers, permissions, and Group Policy concepts
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, MFA, and common identity and access functions
Experience with PSA platforms such as ConnectWise or Autotask and RMM platforms such as Automate or Kaseya
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and verify successful resolution
Excellent client service and professional communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and ownership of assigned work
Commitment to confidentiality and secure handling of credentials, remote access, client data, and communications
Current valid Texas drivers license, legally required vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation suitable for travel to client and project locations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or Bachelors degree in information technology, networking, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
3+ years of experience working with an MSP or MSSP delivering technical projects or services to business clients
Current relevant certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Server+, CCNA, Microsoft 365, Azure, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, BICSI, or equivalent
Experience with ConnectWise Manage PSA, ConnectWise Automate RMM, and ScreenConnect
Proficiency with SonicWall, Ubiquiti, UniFi, and related network and security platforms
Experience with Wi-Fi planning, access-point placement, wireless troubleshooting, and business wireless deployments
Experience implementing hosted VoIP systems, Microsoft Teams Phone, conference-room technology, or IP-based AV systems
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, VMware, Hyper-V, Synology NAS, backup, and storage technologies
Experience with SentinelOne EDR, ESET, Acronis, Backblaze, or similar endpoint security and backup platforms
SCHEDULE
Full-time, temp-to-hire position
Minimum of 40 hours per week
Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Participation in a rotating technical on-call schedule, typically approximately every 67 weeks
On-call coverage generally includes weekday evenings and weekends, with additional compensation provided in accordance with company policy
Occasional work outside standard business hours may be required for urgent issues, scheduled maintenance, or project requirements
