    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor system health across servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud resources; respond to alerts within defined SLAs.
    • Triage and resolve Level I incidents and service requests via the IT Support ticket queue.
    • Perform basic MS Windows administration, including user management, patching, and routine maintenance.
    • Monitor VMware vSphere hosts and virtual machines.
    • Monitor scheduled backups and participate in disaster-recovery tests.
    • Apply standard network configurations (VLANs, routing) in coordination with senior networking staff.
    • Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and asset inventories.
    • Support senior engineers in scripting and executing PowerShell scripts to automate repeatable tasks.
    • Adhere to security and compliance guidelines during daily operations.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
    • 2- 5 years of hands-on IT support or system-administration experience
    • Working knowledge of Windows Server and basic command-line operations
    • Familiarity with virtualization concepts and platforms (VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V)
    • Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN concepts.
    • Experience with standard backup technologies and recovery procedures
    • Ability to follow documented processes and escalate appropriately

    Desired / Preferred Qualifications

    • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
    • Basic awareness of security best practices (least privilege, patching).
    • Basic scripting ability in PowerShell
    • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (What's Up Gold, SolarWinds)
    • Understanding of ITIL or similar service-management frameworks
