must currently reside in South Carolina or be willing to relocate to South Carolina at their own expense before starting the assignment.Job Description: The Business Analyst will work closely with business programs, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to analyze existing and future-state business processes, gather and document requirements, and translate business needs into functional specifications and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with multiple business and technical stakeholders.
- Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage business and functional requirements.
- Analyze as-is and to-be business processes and recommend process improvements.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Research, document, and maintain business rules, requirements, processes, and models.
- Document and analyze data requirements and relationships.
- Manage requirements changes, version control, tracking, status reporting, and traceability.
- Provide requirements interpretation and guidance to development and testing teams.
- Serve as a liaison between business programs and IT organizations.
- Identify project risks, issues, and action items and assist in developing possible solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors, State and Federal agencies, providers, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
- Support business process redesign and technology implementation initiatives.
Required Skills- Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or healthcare-related field.
- 1+ year of Business Analysis experience with IBM Cúram software.
- 1+ year of experience on Government IT projects as a Business Analyst or in related duties.
- 1+ year of experience eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules and business processes.
- 2+ years of Medicaid Eligibility or other healthcare insurance experience.
Preferred Skills- Medicaid or other healthcare insurance Subject Matter Expertise, either project or operations experience.
- MMS experience – project or operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Project / Project Server.
Additional Skills- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing detailed requirements and use cases.
- Ability to obtain business requirements through stakeholder interviews and analysis of laws, regulations, policies, and related documentation.
- Knowledge of formal business process documentation and business modeling techniques.
- Experience with graphical process-flow tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate with executive management, project management, business teams, and technical teams.
