Job Description:

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand current and future enterprise data and information needs, then assist in the design, documentation, testing, implementation, and auditing of solutions.  Working in a collaborative organization, you will have significant influence to improve the efficiency, performance, scalability, security, and privacy of our business and technology environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation and execution of an enterprise-wide data strategy.
  • Evangelize, curate, and maintain enterprise data standards and documentation.
  • Provide data architecture oversight and guidance to enterprise initiatives, programs, and projects.
  • Partner with IT leaders and key business stakeholders on data governance, ensuring alignment with data security and privacy standards.
  • Elevate and contribute to cross-functional data management activities, including data dictionaries, data mapping, and data modeling.
  • Collaborate with master data management teams to identify and address gaps and opportunities in the data architecture.
  • Drive efficiency, adaptability, and continuous improvement in data architecture projects and routines.
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Deep expertise in operational databases systems and data integration/transformation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, analytics tools).
  • Proficiency with cloud-native development and data architectures.
  • 7+ years of data management, modeling, and engineering experience in 1000+ employee organizations.
  • 3+ years of data strategy, governance, and architecture experience in 100+ person IT/Dev groups.
  • Strong knowledge of major IT disciplines and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with business processes, accounting practices, and financial systems.
