SAP Techno-Functional Solution Lead
Location: Columbus, OH or Merrillville, IN
Work Schedule: Hybrid – Monday & Friday remote; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite
Contract: 6 months Contract-to-Hire
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Techno-Functional Solution Lead to support SAP solution delivery across Meter-to-Cash (M2C), Customer Service, and related SAP processes.
The role will focus on techno-functional design, solution oversight, fit-gap analysis, testing, integration, and delivery coordination across SAP and third-party teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/Integration Suite, SAP Service Cloud, and enterprise SAP implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end SAP functional oversight for Meter-to-Cash (M2C) and Customer Service processes, including SAP S/4HANA Utilities and SAP Service Cloud.
- Oversee SAP application design, configuration, customization, and integration based on business requirements.
- Work closely with NiSource and third-party teams to ensure successful SAP solution delivery.
- Oversee RICEFW development, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
- Ensure RICEFW delivery is aligned with overall program requirements and properly traceable.
- Guide unit, SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing for SAP components.
- Review and ensure proper documentation of test cases and results using tools such as Jira and qTest.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers on SAP installation, configuration, integration, and delivery activities.
- Support deployment, cutover, and hypercare activities.
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to operational teams and managed service providers.
- Ensure SAP security roles, access models, and compliance requirements are properly designed, implemented, and tested.
- Support SAP-standard DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, unit test coverage, and security analysis.
- Facilitate collaboration between SAP workstreams and related systems, including identity and access management solutions.
- Establish and support SAP monitoring for error handling, performance, and abnormal usage.
- Participate in program governance, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Perform best-practice reviews and fit-gap analysis to determine when SAP standard functionality can be used versus when customization is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of SAP solution delivery experience, including design, configuration, development, integration, and testing.
- Strong experience working in complex, multi-vendor enterprise SAP environments.
- Strong functional knowledge of:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP Service Cloud
- SAP BTP / Integration Suite
- SAP Fiori
- Related SAP products
- Experience in one or more specialized SAP areas, such as:
- Experience with integration technologies, including RESTful APIs and middleware platforms.
- Experience with SAP testing activities, including unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
- Understanding of SAP security models, SAP GRC Access Control, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code-quality tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States through U.S. citizenship or Green Card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Associate or SAP Certified Professional.
- Experience in utility or energy industry digital transformation programs.
- Experience integrating non-SAP products with SAP, including MuleSoft, API architectures, and IAM tools.
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Business Data Cloud.
- Experience with AI-powered SAP tools such as Joule.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to utilities and customer data privacy.
- Experience with enterprise data migration and master data management in SAP environments.
- Knowledge of people enablement and change management related to SAP adoption.
- Experience with Jira, qTest, or similar project and test management tools.
