Title: IT Engineer (Distributed Automation Engineer)

Location: Merrifield, VA
Employment Type: Contract

Compensation:
Pay Range;$70.00-$80.00 Per Hr

Description
This position involves implementing, maintaining, and supporting distributed systems and automation platforms. 
The role is hybrid with a preference for HDQ/GPO but may consider remote candidates. 
Candidates should have experience in designing and updating automation and web applications using various programming languages.
Implement and support distributed systems and automation platforms.
Provide consulting services to clients across various disciplines and technologies.
Design, build, test, and update reusable automations and web applications.
Engage with technology teams to reengineer processes for automation and web applications.
Drive continuous process improvements and standardization.
Establish invocation channels for orchestrated services.
Develop thorough technical documentation including diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with technology teams to onboard processes to orchestration platforms.
Design and implement highly available automation using orchestration platforms.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to advance the orchestration platform.
Automate and orchestrate repeatable administration tasks to improve reliability.
Advocate for web applications and orchestration platforms to increase adoption.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience in PHP programming and web application development.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Python, PHP, Java, and more.
Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix platforms and database administration.
