The Director of Information Technology provides leadership for the organization's technology strategy, operations, security, enterprise applications, and data platforms. This role ensures technology services are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives while overseeing internal technology staff and external technology service providers.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership
- Develop and execute IT strategy, roadmap, and annual budget.
- Partner with business leaders to align technology investments with organizational priorities.
- Establish governance, performance metrics, and service standards.
Infrastructure & Security
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, networks, end-user technologies, and business continuity planning.
- Lead cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, incident response, and security awareness efforts.
- Ensure systems remain secure, scalable, and highly available.
Applications & Data
- Direct enterprise applications, integrations, and technology architecture.
- Oversee data platform strategy, analytics, reporting, and data governance initiatives.
- Support solution evaluation, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
Vendor & Service Management
- Manage relationships with managed service providers and technology vendors.
- Monitor service delivery, SLAs, contracts, budgets, and performance outcomes.
Project & Team Leadership
- Lead a team responsible for application development, Salesforce, data engineering, project delivery, and IT operations.
- Prioritize initiatives, manage resources, and drive successful project execution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership of technical teams.
- Experience in IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, enterprise applications, and data platforms.
- Demonstrated success managing external vendors and service providers.
- Strong strategic planning, project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with cloud technologies, CRM platforms, business intelligence, and data governance preferred.
