Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Deployment & Configuration Technician to support equipment deployment, inventory management, and end-user device configuration. This role combines hands-on logistics responsibilities with technical support and training duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technology and process improvement.
The position is approximately 40% inventory and logistics and 60% device configuration, technical support, and user training.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Logistics
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of IT equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and staging areas
- Coordinate equipment distribution and deployment activities
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
- Support asset tracking and lifecycle management processes
Device Configuration & Deployment
- Image, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and other endpoint devices
- Perform basic troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Assist with hardware installations and workstation setups
- Document deployment procedures and technical processes
- Ensure equipment is properly configured before delivery to end users
Training & Support
- Assist in onboarding and training new technicians and team members
- Explain technical processes in a clear, easy-to-understand manner
- Develop and maintain process documentation and knowledge resources
- Provide support for common end-user technical issues
Process Improvement
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Help standardize deployment and inventory procedures
- Contribute ideas that improve quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency

Preferred Experience
- Inventory management, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
- IT support, desktop support, help desk, or hardware deployment experience
- Experience imaging and configuring Windows devices
- Customer service, training, tutoring, or mentoring experience
- Basic networking or systems administration knowledge
- Technical certifications are a plus but not required

Compensation & Requirements

- Active security clearance (if applicable)
