As the IT Chargeback & Reporting Specialist, youll transform technology usage data into meaningful insights that support responsible resource management, AI governance, and informed decision-making across the institution. Working with enterprise AI platforms and other centrally managed technologies, youll develop reports, maintain dashboards, support customers, and help ensure transparency in technology consumption and allocation.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Knowledge of technology usage reporting, operational analytics, chargeback, showback, allocation tracking, or related IT financial operations practices.- Knowledge of AI-enabled platforms, enterprise software services, cloud-based tools, or credit/token/consumption-based technology models.- Ability to maintain dashboards, review data for accuracy, identify trends, and summarize usage information for technical and non-technical audiences.- Ability to create recurring reports, interpret usage data, and communicate findings clearly through written summaries, dashboards, spreadsheets, or presentations.- Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond professionally to questions about usage, allocations, permissions, access levels, and reporting outputs.- Ability to work with spreadsheets, dashboarding tools, reporting systems, and data exports.- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines.- Ability to identify data inconsistencies, investigate usage anomalies, and coordinate with technical or functional teams to resolve issues.- Ability to explain technology usage, credit consumption, and allocation concepts in plain language.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle institutional usage, financial, and customer data responsibly.- Ability to document processes, maintain standard operating procedures, and recommend practical improvements.- Ability to work independently while collaborating with IT service owners, business operations staff, unit representatives, and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with technology usage reporting, IT financial operations, dashboard maintenance, customer-facing reporting, AI-enabled platforms, cloud or SaaS usage tracking, chargeback processes, or higher education technology services. - Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, cloud dashboards, administrative consoles, or similar reporting platforms is preferred.
