    Description

    As a member of the Optum Rx Clinical Engagement Solutions team, the Capability

    Manager will play a key role in managing, organizing, and optimizing the clinical alert

    library and related content management capabilities. This role will support clinical alert

    operations by helping the team understand how specific alert logic packages are used

    across programs, clients, populations, and operational workflows.

    The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation of project and process management

    experience; demonstrated analytical and reporting capabilities; and the ability to

    translate complex operations into clear processes, dashboards, and operational insights.

    This individual capability manager role requires a highly motivated, roll-up-your-sleeves

    self-starter who can manage multiple complex priorities, collaborate across matrixed

    teams, and create sustainable processes that improve quality, transparency, and

    efficiency.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    ? Manage clinical alert content management capabilities that support the lifecycle of

    clinical alert logic packages, including intake, prioritization, documentation,

    maintenance tracking, deployment readiness, and operational monitoring.

    ? Develop and maintain a clear understanding of how specific alert logic packages are

    used across clinical programs, clients, populations, operational workflows, and

    reporting needs.

    ? Create, enhance, and manage operational and performance reporting dashboards, and

    recurring metrics that support alert library governance, maintenance planning,

    utilization insights, quality monitoring, and leadership visibility.

    ? Partner with other key cross-functional stakeholders, such as clinical pharmacists,

    program owners, analytics, technology, operations, to clarify manage operational

    dependencies, reporting requirements, and issue-resolution needs.

    ? Design and maintain streamlined development and maintenance processes for team,

    including standard work, intake tracking, process documentation, role clarity, status

    reporting, and escalation pathways.

    ? Support annual and ad hoc maintenance processes by organizing review schedules,

    tracking progress, coordinating business inputs, documenting outcomes, and identifying

    opportunities to improve.

    ? Analyze operational data, alert utilization, maintenance activity, issue trends, and

    performance indicators to identify root causes, emerging risks, process gaps, and

    opportunities for scalable improvement.


    ? Coordinate quality control, post-implementation validation, and issue-resolution

    activities related to content management processes, ensuring results are clearly

    documented and escalated when needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    ? 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, PBM operations, clinical program

    operations, capability management, or related project/process management.

    ? 3+ years of experience in healthcare, PBM, pharmacy benefit management, clinical

    programs, or other regulated industries.

    ? Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity; self-starter.

    ? Experience managing complex processes, operational workflows, reporting packages,

    dashboards, or cross-functional initiatives.

    ? Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends,

    summarize findings, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

    ? Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

    ? Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    ? Experience supporting clinical or pharmacy programs, including alert content, quality

    measures, or regulatory requirements.

    ? Experience developing or managing operational dashboards, performance reporting,

    issue tracking, scorecards, or leadership reporting packages.

    ? Experience documenting processes, creating standard work, improving operational

    workflows, or developing governance-ready materials.

    ? Ability to solve complex problems and lead or facilitate meetings to achieve desired

    outcomes.

    ? Excellent presentation, time management, organizational, prioritization, and

    communication skills.

    ? Demonstrated success working across matrixed teams, including clinical, analytics,

    technology, operations, compliance, privacy, legal, and product stakeholders.
