Beam’s suite of gene editing technologies is anchored by base editing, a proprietary technology that is designed to enable precise, predictable and efficient single base changes, at targeted genomic sequences, without making double-stranded breaks in the DNA. Beam Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and technically curious IT Business Systems & AI Co-op to join the General & Administrative (G&A) Information Technology team, from January through June 2027.

Position Overview:

Beam Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated and technically curious IT Business Systems & AI Co-op to join the General & Administrative (G&A) Information Technology team, from January through June 2027. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital transformation.

The co-op will support a portfolio of enterprise applications that enable Beam's business functions, including Operations, Legal, Finance, and HR. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and IT leaders to improve reporting, optimize processes, leverage AI capabilities, and drive adoption of key business systems.

This position is ideal for a student interested in how technology, data, and AI can be applied to solve real business challenges and improve operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop reports, dashboards, and insights Translate data into actionable insights from G&A systems.
• Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of AI agents and AI-assisted workflows that identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative and reporting processes.
• Review and organize application documentation, training materials, and support procedures, create standardized documentation and identify gaps in system knowledge and opportunities to improve self-service support.
• Create user-friendly communications and training materials for application enhancements and process changes, develop AI-assisted training content and learning resources.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a BA or MA degree in any field with an academic interest in technology, business operations, digital transformation, or artificial intelligence.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex business challenges, and incorporate feedback in an iterative environment.
• Interest in business operations, process improvement, and driving operational effectiveness through incremental change.
• Interest in applying AI, data analytics, and enterprise technologies to solve complex business challenges and generate meaningful insights.
• Curious, organized, and eager to learn, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and contribute new ideas in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a professional setting.
• Interest in gaining exposure to IT business partnership, digital transformation, and enterprise technology strategy.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program and maintain their student status throughout the duration of the co-op to be eligible.
