POSITION SUMMARY

TransMedics is seeking an IT Business Partner to support the implementation, optimization, and strategic evolution of enterprise systems across Finance, and HR. This role serves as a key bridge between business leadership and IT, ensuring enterprise platforms and digital capabilities are aligned with operational priorities, compliance requirements, and the companys long-term growth strategy.

The IT Business Partner will collaborate closely with functional leaders to understand business objectives, identify opportunities to leverage technology, data, and automation, and help define the digital roadmap for core enterprise processes. This role will drive process standardization, improve data integrity and reporting capabilities, and help scale systems and workflows to support a growing, regulated organization.

This is a strategic, business-facing role that combines enterprise-systems expertise, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise System Leadership

  • Help define and execute the enterprise-systems roadmap supporting Finance, and HR, aligned with business priorities and company growth.
  • Partner with IT and technical teams to translate business needs into system enhancements, configurations, and delivered solutions.
  • Prioritize system improvements and new capabilities based on business value, risk, scalability, and user impact.
  • Ensure enterprise platforms integrate effectively with third-party systems such as payroll, benefits, procurement, project accounting, learning, and reporting tools.
  • Define success criteria for system enhancements and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
  • Promote adoption and effective use of enterprise-system capabilities across the organization.

Business Analysis & Process Optimization

  • Partner with Finance, and HR leaders to understand business objectives and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology.
  • Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation efforts for enterprise-system initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate business processes across enterprise functions.
  • Support the design of scalable workflows and system-enabled processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.

Compliance & Data Governance

  • Ensure enterprise-system configurations and data-management practices support SOX, FDA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Finance, HR, and IT to support audits, validation activities, and control improvements.
  • Support data integrity, reporting reliability, and appropriate access controls across enterprise systems.
  • Assist in maintaining reporting capabilities and scheduled report distribution for business stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Act as a business partner to Finance, and HR teams, helping align technology initiatives with operational priorities.
  • Drive user adoption through training, communication, and change-management activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Finance, HR, IT, Compliance, and external vendors.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure service delivery meets business expectations.
  • Ensure enterprise-system initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with agreed priorities.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES No direct reports (This position will not have management responsibilities)

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES None (Standard office environment).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems.
  • Strong understanding of Finance, and HR operations, compliance requirements, and data governance.
  • Proven ability to define business processes and translate them into system requirements across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with software testing, validation, and requirements documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives as an individual contributor.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence stakeholders across functions i.e. Finance, HR and IT functions.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Workday Experience preferred.
  • PMP or Agile certification.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, HRCI, CPA, CMA, CIA).
  • Exposure to change management or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements in regulated environments.

TransMedics is committed to equitable and transparent compensation. The expected base salary range for this role is $147,200.00 - $183,600.00, which represents the companys current good-faith estimate of compensation for this position. Actual salary will depend on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific work location. This role may also be eligible for bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and wellness resources). We comply with all U.S. pay transparency laws and do not request or consider salary history.
