Job Summary
The Center for Information Technology (CIT) at Oberlin College is leading a
campus-wide transformation to modernize enterprise systems, streamline digital
workflows, and expand data-informed decision-making. This transformation
includes the implementation of a new cloud-based ERP system that will reshape
administrative and academic operations across the College.
The IT Business Analyst will join the institution at a pivotal time, working
closely with departments to reimagine processes, improve data access, and
modernize enterprise applications. Reporting to the Associate Director of
Enterprise Applications, this position plays a key role in ensuring campus-wide
systems are responsive, efficient, and aligned with institutional priorities.
The analyst manages a portfolio of enterprise applications, including platforms
supporting student advising (Anthology Reach), student engagement (Engage),
and residential life (StarRez), and helps translate functional needs into
workflows that improve user experience, reduce risk, and support long-term
success.
Responsibilities
This role combines business process analysis, data and reporting expertise,
application lifecycle management, and technical consulting to support enterprise
applications relied on by departments including the Registrar, Human
Resources, Student Affairs, Finance, Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic
Divisions, and Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (IEP/IR). The IT
Business Analyst serves as a connector between functional users and technical
teams, ensuring enterprise technology is configured and supported in ways that
drive institutional effectiveness and student-centered service delivery.
This position is on-site, 5 days per week.
