Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst II to join our client a Fortune 200 company. The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering business requirements, writing detailed technical documentation, and developing comprehensive test cases. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Documentation
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements by working closely with stakeholders, developers, and testers.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including functional specifications, system design documents, process flows, and user guides.
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for system enhancements and process changes.
Facilitate and participate in requirement gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, and sprint planning.
Maintain documentation standards and ensure alignment with best practices.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Create, review, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate system functionality and business requirements.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test plans, tracking defects, and ensuring issue resolution.
Collaboration & Project Support
Collaborate with development teams to ensure system changes meet business needs and comply with technical requirements.
Support project management activities, including timelines, deliverables, and risk assessment.
Provide training and support to end-users on new system functionalities and enhancements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on technical documentation and test case development.
Proficiency in writing functional specifications, user stories, and system documentation.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience with testing tools and techniques, including manual and automated testing processes.
Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into clear technical solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are a plus.
