This position is located in Product Management, Richland County.

This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position.

Are you the One? We are looking for an IT Business Analyst II who will develop test scenarios, participates in testing designed to ensure the system meets the business need; identifies and documents defects; works with agency/project staff to assess impact of issues/defects/requested enhancements; identifies operational issues/concerns/risks and works with team members to reach a solution; provides technical assistance/support to system users.

  • Executes test case/scenario and tests system with sufficient detail so that system does not have any major problems when implemented; provides attention to detail so that each system defect is recorded and retested until resolved; performs assigned tasks on time and to standard.
  • Actively participates in meetings related to planned system functionality. Creates test case templates and determines what language should be used. Develops test cases scenarios designed to determine compliance with stated requirements and business rules. Performs BA peer reviews and edits Test Cases into the correct format.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current and planned Medicaid and Eligibility System procedures as they relate to systems. Attends relevant meetings as scheduled to understand updated/new system and agency policies and processes. Demonstrates ability to apply new policies, procedures and system functionality in daily tasks. Participates in review of and provides meaningful feedback for new and updated assigned material and/or topics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Performs other designated tasks; adheres to all program, agency, State and other related policies, procedures, privacy, and timeliness standards.
  • Participates in professional development. Attends a minimum of conferences, webinars/online training and courses that build skills related to job functions; demonstrates application of knowledge gained in professional development activities.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and (1) year program experience with Medicaid eligibility policy, process and systems.

An associate degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Lifting Amount: 20lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Medicaid program and systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
