IT Business Analyst

Introduction

This position is for a Business Analyst who will act as the primary interface with business partners, solution architects, and cross-organizational technology teams. The Analyst will analyze current processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. The Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. The Analyst will be part of an Agile Scrum team, collaborating with the Product Owner to evaluate the Features, write effective user stories, document business rules; and with the Developers to review technical design, identify enablers and dependencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Must have excellent analytical skills and at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience documenting detailed functional and technical requirements for business requirements.
• Ability to communicate and work with developers to ensure that acceptance criteria for the user stories are understood and applied.
• Provides support to UAT and SIT testers to clarify requirements and determine whether a defect is a new requirement, or truly a defect.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to facilitate discussions.
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps and opportunities.
• Working knowledge of agile tools such as JIRA.
• 3 years practical agile experience.
• Experience in being a Product Owner OR working closely with Product Owner to define business needs.
• Business Analyst experience in converting business need into epics and stories.
• Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and business team members with ease.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Prior Banking Background.
• Good communication skills with all stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Agile processes and experience with Jira.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Work closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation, and participate in the definition of strategies for the technical solution.
• Communicate and work with Testers to ensure that test plans and scripts satisfy the requirements.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to evaluate the Features, write effective user stories, document business rules, and review technical design.
