JOB DESCRIPTION

This is primarily an IT Asset Management & Logistics Technician role supporting an IT stockroom and hardware logistics operation

Some of the primary responsibilities would include:

- Maintaining the IT stockroom and ensuring equipment is properly organized, stored, and accounted for

- Receiving incoming hardware, equipment, and shipments and verifying items against packing documentation

- Processing IT hardware requests and preparing equipment for deployment or distribution

- Shipping equipment to users, vendors, other company locations, and repair/disposition facilities as required

- Maintaining accurate asset and inventory records within the applicable computer/asset management database

- Updating asset status, location, assignment, and other inventory information as equipment moves through its lifecycle

- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory replenishment and stock organization

- Performing physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and system records

- Preparing, packaging, and labeling equipment for shipment

- Breaking down incoming pallets and larger equipment shipments

- Supporting equipment returns, recoveries, repairs, redeployments, and disposition processes

- Maintaining a clean, organized, and secure stockroom environment

- Coordinating with IT support teams, Asset Management, vendors, and end users as needed to fulfill hardware requests and resolve inventory-related issues

The individual should be comfortable working in a hands-on logistics environment and able to lift and move IT equipment, boxes, and packages, including assisting with pallets and larger shipments when required. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are also important, particularly because the role involves maintaining accurate inventory and asset records.

Key Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

May require technical certification or associate degree

Generally, 1-2years experience in area of responsibility
