IT Asset Management (ITAM) Coordinator

We're hiring an IT Asset Management (ITAM) Coordinator to own the hands-on lifecycle of our IT hardware. You'll provision laptops for new hires, get replacement devices to users quickly, manage stockroom inventory, coordinate shipments across offices and a remote workforce, and keep asset records accurate across ServiceNow and Jira Service Management.

You'll support a mixed Windows and macOS environment, with hands-on responsibility for devices from the moment they arrive through deployment, support, recovery, and eventual retirement.

This is a build-it role

You'll be the first dedicated person in this position, giving you the opportunity to help establish and improve the processes around device provisioning, inventory, logistics, and asset management. You'll also have a structured training program and direct mentorship from the Asset Management and Support Engineering teams.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Device Provisioning
Build, configure, and deploy Surface and MacBook laptops end to end, including Intune and Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, MDM enrollment, asset tagging, and peripheral preparation.

Shipping & Logistics
Own device shipping from start to finish. Coordinate outbound shipments to remote employees, offices, and vendors, including packaging, service-level selection, label creation, tracking, and delivery confirmation. Manage inbound returns for terminated employees, warranty claims, vendor exchanges, and RMAs.

Break/Fix & Re-Provisioning
Turn around replacement devices quickly from available inventory. Assess, grade, wipe, refurbish, and redeploy equipment. Troubleshoot laptops, docks, monitors, and other peripherals.

Receiving & Inventory
Verify incoming assets against purchase orders and ordering records. Identify and escalate short shipments, incorrect items, or damaged equipment, then ensure assets are properly recorded and moved into inventory.

Stockroom Operations
Keep inventory organized and accurate, maintain appropriate stock levels, flag minimum thresholds, and ensure every asset is properly tagged and tracked. Help launch and support a Grab & Go peripheral program.

Asset Management & Record Accuracy
Maintain accurate asset states and substates across ServiceNow and Jira Service Management as equipment moves through its lifecycle. Document transfers and shipments in real time so the physical inventory and system records stay aligned.

Ticket Ownership
Manage assigned tickets from intake through closure for provisioning, break/fix, peripherals, desk setups, and related requests. All work should be documented and completed through the appropriate ticketing process.

Deployment & Office Support
Support desk setups, employee moves, seat changes, peripheral fulfillment, and new-hire onboarding escalations.

A/V Readiness
Perform morning conference room checks on in-office days, manage physical A/V assets, and assist with A/V deployments when needed.

Retirement & Disposal
Coordinate end-of-life device disposal, including confirmed data wipes and complete chain-of-custody documentation.

What We're Looking For

Must Have

• 1 3 years of experience in a technical IT role, such as desktop support, service desk, IT operations, or IT asset management

• Hands-on experience imaging, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops

• Working knowledge of both Windows and macOS in an enterprise environment

• Experience working and managing requests through an ITSM or ticketing platform

• Experience preparing or coordinating equipment shipments, or comparable logistics experience

• Strong attention to detail and discipline around asset and inventory records

• Ability to lift and move IT equipment and maintain an organized stockroom

• Ability to execute independently and reliably once trained

• Availability to work on-site as required

Nice to Have

• ServiceNow experience, particularly Asset Management or CMDB

• Jira Service Management experience, including Assets / Insight

• Microsoft Intune and Autopilot

• Apple Business Manager

• MDM enrollment workflows

• Barcode scanning or asset-tagging systems

• FedEx, UPS, or similar carrier shipping platforms

• Knowledge of electronics packaging and shipping standards

• CompTIA A+ or similar certification
