IT Asset Data Analyst (ServiceNow)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Data Analyst to support Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) initiatives within ServiceNow. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of asset data while serving as a key steward of inventory records. The ideal candidate will have strong data management and auditing experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work across vendors and internal teams to maintain reliable asset information and support asset lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete asset records within ServiceNow IT Asset Management.

• Monitor vendor asset data feeds, integrations, and file transfers to ensure successful data transmission.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies.

• Support asset lifecycle activities including onboarding, transfers, returns, and asset retirement.

• Conduct recurring audits to validate asset data accuracy and completeness.

• Perform asset tag audits and data cleanup initiatives.

• Analyze trends and identify root causes of inventory and data discrepancies.

• Partner with vendors to resolve data mapping, integration, reporting, and transmission issues.

• Track and remediate data transmission failures to ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT asset management, data analysis, inventory management, or a related field.

• Experience working with ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) or similar asset management platforms.

• Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience auditing, validating, and cleansing large datasets.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data integrity.

• Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve data issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM.

• Experience with hardware and software asset lifecycle management processes.

• Knowledge of data integrations, APIs, and vendor data feeds.

• Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow SAM Pro and software asset management best practices.
