    Job Summary
    The Applications Specialist provides advanced technical support for design and engineering software applications across global practices, regional offices, and project teams. This role supports internal customers by troubleshooting critical issues, deploying specialized applications, and improving IT processes within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.
    The position requires strong expertise in engineering and design software platforms, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Respond to incoming calls, emails, and chat sessions to document and resolve critical issues
    • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related software problems
    • Research, verify, and document product defects; create ServiceNow tickets
    • Escalate unresolved issues to section managers or vendor support as needed
    • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles
    • Deploy and test specialized applications for business units
    • Analyze recurring issues to determine root cause and corrective action
    • Identify trends in customer-reported issues
    • Manage AEC product licenses and vendor relationships
    • Participate in product BETA programs and provide enhancement feedback
    • Monitor systems to identify performance issues
    • Provide peer-to-peer training and presentations
    • Benchmark hardware for engineering and architectural design needs
    • Attend relevant AEC industry user group meetings and conferences
    • Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with company policies and standards

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CAD, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
    • Minimum 4 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving design application programs
    • Strong knowledge of Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, ESRI, Revit, or other engineering/design software suites in a production environment
    • Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
