IT Application Specialist - Must Speak Mandarin

We are seeking an IT Application Specialist who must speak Mandarin to support critical business applications, infrastructure, and technology operations within a fast-paced financial services environment. Description

The IT Application Specialist - Must Speak Mandarin will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing business-critical systems and applications while ensuring secure and reliable IT operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor and maintain applications, systems, and IT services to ensure stability and performance.
• Support software installations, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Perform database administration, backup, recovery, and monitoring activities.
• Analyze business requirements and deliver technical solutions to support operational needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications and database solutions.
• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Assist with disaster recovery testing, documentation, and business continuity initiatives.
• Support Python platform maintenance, installations, and scripting activities.
• Collaborate with international technology teams to address vulnerabilities and security requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely resolution of operational incidents.
• Assist in the delivery and coordination of technology projects and enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, risk management, and compliance standards.

Profile

Location: Downtown Manhattan, New York

Working Model: Onsite, 5 days per week

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application support, systems administration, systems analysis, or software development.
• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Experience with application installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, and data management concepts.
• Experience with Python, batch scripting, or other automation tools.
• Understanding of information security, IT risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience supporting financial services or regulated environments is highly desirable.

Job Offer

6+ month contract-to-hire position

$35 to $55 per hour, depending on experience
