The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.
Primary Purpose of Position
The IT Analyst/Programmer works closely with all team members in the Office of the Registrar and other campus partners. This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting several key student information systems used across campus. The position maintains appropriate university-wide rule and validation tables, provides functional leadership in areas under implementation and/or with upgrades, researches functional impacts/benefits in version upgrades and additional modules, and assists in the development of end-user documentation and training. The position also proactively updates and prepares those users for any technical improvements/updates to existing systems and also shares opportunities other systems might provide to meet departmental objectives. This role is team-oriented, collaborative, uses a data-driven approach to improving student, faculty, and staff success, and is a champion for improved technology solutions.
Summary of Position Responsibilities
This IT Analyst/Programmer serves as a technical resource for the Office of the Registrar and other campus partners. The position works closely with various teams to improve processes, resolve complex issues, assist with data needs/reporting, and manage technology projects within the OnelT Academic Affairs Support team.
This position plays a significant role in the support of the University's student information systems, for example, Banner Student and Degree Works, in relation to specific operations, policies, and procedures managed by the Office of the Registrar. The position is responsible for maintaining appropriate university-wide rule and validation tables, providing functional leadership in areas under implementation and/or upgrade, researching functional impacts/benefits of upgrades and additional modules, and assisting in developing end-user documentation and training.
Minimum Education/Experience
A bachelor's degree and at least two years of work experience in the information technology area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
