Our semiconductor client is seeking a hybrid IT Administer for a full time position. The role requires this individual to be fully bilingual Japanese. In addition, the position is onsite 4 days onsite in Santa Clara and 1 day remote.
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Administrator is responsible for overseeing the company's IT environment and providing IT support to all levels within the organization. This role plans, coordinates, and manages new installations and migrations of software and systems. The IT Administrator facilitates the development and implementation of improvements to the company's IT systems; researches and implements IT policies and procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of workflow and reporting; and interprets and applies laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the organization. This role also manages the resolution of system and network issues for employees across all branches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IT SUPPORT
Maintain and support IT-related equipment, including employee computers, mobile devices, office phones, security cameras, and other physical IT equipment.
Oversee and facilitate the installation and maintenance of company computer systems, hardware, software, networks, printers, scanners, phones, and security systems.
Respond to IT-related requests and provide support to users.
Attend weekly IT meetings with headquarters and other subsidiaries and present status and project updates.
Create and maintain user manuals addressing frequently asked questions.
Monitor and approve or disapprove Microsoft 365 usage via Azure AD.
Work closely with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
Back up and restore data from the file server as necessary.
Experience with VPN and Firewall is a plus.
Experience with Switch, VLAN, DHCP, Static IP, and DNS is a plus.
Experience with AD, Azure AD, Exchange, MDM, and MS Intune is a plus.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Identify and recommend upgrades and changes to equipment and software to maintain efficient and effective operations.
Research and evaluate new technologies and applications; inform management of the effects on equipment, networks, and operations.
Install, maintain, and manage the security camera system and its footage; ensure building security at each office location.
Plan, coordinate, and execute office moves and new office setups with various vendors.
Support other department-specific software and hardware as necessary.
ASSET MANAGEMENT
Tag and track all laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and other IT-related equipment.
Provide pictures and a detailed report of all IT-related assets to the accounting department monthly.
Communicate with hardware, software, and service vendors to obtain quotations.
Manage software licenses and equipment warranties.
Track the IT asset lifecycle; provision, retrieve, replace, repair, and dispose of IT assets per industry standards.
ADMINISTRATION, HR, AND ACCOUNTING SUPPORT
Create, manage, and update IT security policies in accordance with HR and company policies.
Create, manage, and monitor building entrance access tokens for all employees.
Develop, present, and enforce IT security training for all new hires.
Support Administrative and HR teams with IT-related procedures.
Support specialized accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Nexonia.
Evaluate internal controls and provide management with recommendations for policy, procedure, and practice improvements to meet audit requirements.
Prepare and evaluate documentation to ensure compliance with regulations for internal audits.
Manage risk assessments and develop strategies and procedures for carrying out internal and SOX audits.
