    About this role:

    The ISSM / IT Manager serves as the strategic link between our Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams, ensuring our technology infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and compliance programs support the company's continued growth. In this role, you will lead information security initiatives related to NIST 800-171, CMMC, and government customer requirements while partnering with our Cyber team to maintain a strong security and compliance framework. You will also oversee our third-party IT service provider, helping shape the company's technology roadmap, improve employee IT support, and ensure our engineers have the tools, systems, and infrastructure needed to be successful. This is a highly collaborative role that combines cybersecurity leadership, IT strategy, and operational oversight in a fast-growing defense technology environment.

    What You'll Do:

    • Lead and manage the company's cybersecurity and information assurance program in support of Department of Defense and government customer requirements.
    • Maintain compliance with NIST 800-171, CMMC, customer cybersecurity requirements, and applicable security policies and procedures.
    • Develop, maintain, and oversee System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), risk assessments, and other cybersecurity documentation.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity audits, assessments, and customer security reviews.
    • Coordinate cybersecurity incident response activities, investigations, and reporting requirements.
    • Act as the primary internal liaison between the company and its third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring timely and effective IT support.
    • Monitor IT service delivery, ticket response metrics, project execution, and overall MSP performance.
    • Manage IT asset inventory, hardware lifecycle planning, software licensing, and technology records.
    • Administer and coordinate Identrust/ECA certificate issuance, renewals, revocations, and employee support activities.
    • Partner with leadership to develop and execute the company's IT roadmap, infrastructure strategy, cybersecurity initiatives, and technology plans to support future growth and expansion.
