    Position Summary

    TheISO Transportation Manageris responsible foralltransportation related activities of an ISO Depot, includingpromoting business growthandcustomer satisfaction.

    Duties andResponsibilities:  

    • SuperviseDriver Managers includingensuring accurate and efficientdispatching andloadplanning.

    • Develop positive relationshipswith customersincluding coordinatingactivities, resolving issues, and soliciting work.

    • Monitorand train staff forconsistent and efficientprocesses including proper dispatching.  

    • Coordinate as needed withyard,shop,and washleadershipto ensuretimely and efficient execution of activitiesto meetcustomerneeds.

    • Ensure chassisand tractors arekept current with servicing and inspections.  

    • Recruiting, hiring, termination of drivers and terminal staff.

    • Managedispatch to identify resource needs and traininganddevelopment needs are met

    • Enforce and practice all safety rules of the Company and all government agencies, including but not limited to DOT and OSHA

    • Ensure both internal and external customers are treated with courtesy, discretion, and sound judgement

    • CommunicatewithSales department where appropriateincludingpotential new customeropportunities.

    • Other duties as assigned byDepotManager  

    Job Requirements

    Education and Experience:  

    • High school diploma or GED required

    • Minimum of5yearsrelevant experience 

    • Staff supervision experience

    • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations

    • Experience managing a location of similar scope

    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

    EssentialQualifications: 

    • Proven ability to motivate, develop, and mentor staff in order to optimize their performance

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills 

    • Solid communication skills and attention to detail

    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change

    • Strong customer service orientation, ensuring needs and deadlines are met in a timely fashion

    • Demonstrate a positive, proactive and motivated attitude 

    • Proven focus on continuous improvement in the workplace 

    • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced organization

    • Proven problem solver, anticipates challenges and is both responsive and resourceful

    • Must be able to work weekends and Holidays as needed

    • Be on call as required

    Language Skills:

    • Ability to read, writeand speak English proficiently

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to enter shop and tank wash environments (with proper safety gear) as needed to facilitate communications with those functions

    • Must be able to walk around the terminal facilities to facilitate security inspections and communicate with drivers or other visitors as needed

    • Long periods of sitting in front of a computer screen may be required

    • Occasionally required to stand, reach, bend and lift up to 25 pounds 

    • Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

    Work Environment:   

    • The position typically operates in a standard office environment.

    • Thispositionroutinely usesoffice equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
