ISO Manager

Modify, implement, and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System from the ground up, including quality manual, procedures, work instructions, and forms covering new MCC bucket manufacturing, new panel manufacturing, and breaker/MCC repair-and-reconditioning operations. 

Plan and execute internal audit schedules; serve as primary liaison for external ISO 9001 certification body audits. 

Lead nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA closure across manufacturing, repair, and field integration functions. 

Manage document control systems, including procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, bills of material, test records, and quality records retention. 

Monitor quality metrics: scrap rate, first-pass yield, customer complaints, supplier quality, in-process/final inspection failure rates on manufactured buckets, breaker test/inspection failure rates, and warranty/return rates on reconditioned equipment. Report to leadership. 

Train staff on QMS requirements across engineering, production, bucket fabrication and assembly, panel assembly, and breaker service/repair teams. 

Ensure supplier and incoming inspection processes for electrical components (breakers, contactors, terminal blocks, wire, enclosures) and raw materials/components used in bucket manufacturing align with certification standards. 

Support customer quality audits and RFQ/quality-agreement reviews. 

Maintain and manage the UL 508A Follow-Up Service Program, including UL label control, production/manufacturing procedures for new buckets and panels, and coordination with the UL field inspector during periodic audits. 

Ensure production and service processes align with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 79 (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery) requirements as applicable to panelboard, control panel, and MCC bucket builds. 

Interface with engineering to ensure manufactured bucket designs, panel designs, componentselection, and short-circuit current ratings (SCCR) comply with UL 508A listing requirements. 

Establish and maintain quality procedures for manufacture of new MCC buckets and for the repair, reconditioning, and testing of MCCBs, ICCBs, 480V motor control centers, and existing MCC buckets, including incoming condition assessment, teardown inspection, refurbishment standards, and functional/dielectric test protocols. 

Align breaker and MCC reconditioning procedures with the ANSI/PEARL Electrical Equipment Reconditioning Standard (EERS) and Inspect & Test Standard (EEITS), issued by the Professional Electrical Apparatus Reconditioning League (PEARL). 

Align breaker and MCC reconditioning procedures with applicable NETA acceptance and maintenance testing standards. 

Maintain traceability and certification records distinguishing newly manufactured, reconditioned, and integrated components, including test reports and calibration records for test equipment. 

Ensure quality procedures address system integration work — verifying that newly manufactured buckets and repaired/reconditioned breakers and MCC buckets meet fit, function, and rating requirements before installation into new or existing customer systems, in compliance with NFPA 70 installation and labeling requirements. 

Oversee calibration program for test equipment used in bucket and breaker testing (contact resistance, insulation resistance, primary/secondary injection testing). 

Support and maintain PEARL membership requirements and associated EERS/EEITS standard compliance for the company's reconditioned equipment product line. 

Where components are supplied to NRC-licensed nuclear facilities or as commercial-grade dedicated items for nuclear safety-related applications, maintain a 10 CFR Part 21 program covering evaluation of deviations for substantial safety hazards, defect/noncompliance reporting to the NRC, procurement document flow-down, and required recordkeeping. 

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, or related technical field required. 

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. 

ASQ certification (CQE, CQM/OE, or CMQ/OE) preferred. 

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred. 

Minimum 5–7 years in quality management within electrical equipment manufacturing and/or electrical apparatus service industry preferred. 

Demonstrated experience building and/or maintaining an ISO 9001 program from initial certification through recertification cycles. 

Direct experience in a UL 508A panelboard/control panel shop, including UL Follow-Up Service audits, panel labeling requirements, and component listing verification preferred. 

Experience with quality control in low-voltage switchgear/MCC bucket fabrication and assembly (sheet metal, bus work, wiring, component mounting) preferred. 

Experience with circuit breaker and/or motor control center repair, reconditioning, or remanufacturing operations preferred. 

Familiarity with PEARL EERS/EEITS reconditioning standards and NETA testing standards for low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment preferred. 

Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and UL 508A short-circuit current rating (SCCR) requirements preferred. 

Experience with 10 CFR Part 21 defect reporting and commercial-grade dedication programs preferred. 

Experience with documentation for newly manufactured and reconditioned/refurbished electrical equipment, including test reports and componenttraceability preferred.
